About me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy of the University of Amsterdam within the research group of Sera Markoff. After finishing my PhD at DESY Zeuthen, close to Berlin, with a focus on the afterglows of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs), I am now diving into the physics of the plasma around black holes, aiming to improve our description of multimessenger physics in the general relativistic magneto-hydrodynamic simulations (GRMHD). I really enjoy the connection between observations and theory in astrophysics!

In summer 2024 I got married and changed my surname from Klinger to Klinger-Plaisier.

One exciting result of my PhD is the publication of the AMĀ³ code! If you are interested in lepto-hadronic radiation modelling - check it out!
